Client Acquisition Director / Head of Sales

Identity is looking for a highly experienced and passionate Client Acquisition Director / head of Sales to oversee the client acquisition and sales pipeline for our Corporate Department. Working collaboratively with the Head of Corporate, Commercial Director, Head of Strategy the role will define, plan and evaluate new business strategy and ensure incremental business growth.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Devise and / or implement sales strategy and campaigns for the teams to execute upon and then oversee the successful delivery of these campaigns 
  • Pitch lead on major corporate pitches and provide input and oversee other pitches/tenders
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and pitches to obtain new business in conjunction with the pitch and strategy team and client account teams
  • Work with Heads of Departments across the business to ensure delivery models are in place in line with the sales pipeline and client acquisition
  • Take responsibility for delivery of activities across new business targets 
  • Identify innovation, efficiencies or improvements that could benefit the business 
  • Identify new routes to market to ensure continual growth
  • Responsible for the implementation of operational objectives for the sales team 
  • Manage new prospect expectations through being a consistent, reliable and approachable presence
  • Analyse and identify trends in collected data and use data to drive change within the department
  • Create monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports in-line with company goals, objectives and targets
  • Work with the Head of Corporate & Commercial Director to establish sales KPI’s and then ensure these are met 
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and time management skills 
  • Accountable for the Client Acquisition budget requirements
  • Support team members helping them meet goals and objectives and the requirements of customers externally

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Extensive sales experience in the events industry
  • Previous experience in new business development with a focus on repeat business
  • Previous experience in leading and managing a high performing team
  • Full ownership of targets and KPI’s and ensuring these are met
  • Highly organised with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Forensic attention to detail
  • Proven strategic leadership skills
  • Proven record of leading and winning pitch / tender opportunities
  • Ability to demonstrate successful pitch management experience
  • Ability to liaise with all stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem solving skills

Desirable:

  • Agency experience
  • Experience growing a sales department
  • Change management experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Highly connected within the events industry
